During the three weeks of the national standardized MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) testing.  Grace New Covenant Church partnered with Dr. Jeannie Roberts, Principal and the 350 Highland Huskys to encourage their school attendance and preparation for the national test.  As a church, we prayed earnestly and regularly for Highland Elementary.  The members of GNCC sent notes of encouragement to each of the 4^th and 5^th grade students, as well as posters, and pencils.  First Lady Harsley led a team to the classrooms one week, general assembly another, and then the celebration party.  The “Hot Party” featuring all the hot foods the youth desired was awarded to the class with the best attendance.  We salute the 5^th grade class of Ms. Lewis.  The GNCC prayers, presence, and presents were experienced by the students and teachers alike at Highland!
